2 December, 2007:
I just LOVE your website. I was terribly afraid of
spiders until I watched the movie Arachniphobia. I guess
because the spiders lost it cured me?? who knows. I'd hold
them if I could feel confident I wouldn't get bit.
Hopefully I'm doing this correct, but I'd love to share with
you some Lynx photos I recently shot. I can get larger
images if anyone is interested in publishing them, Enjoy!

Hi Glen, Thanks for answering my email and for posting
my Hobo spider pictures on the website. I thought you
might also like those nice shots I recently did of an
orb-weaver and of a trapdoor spider. Best wishes,
Françoise

11 August, 2007:
Hey again Glen, I found a great spider down in a hole in California's Sugarloaf
Ridge State
Park. The spider was the biggest I have ever see since I have
gotten more
interested in photography and spiders/insects...all types of
animals. I was
hoping you could ID or put it up so someone maybe can. Now it
looks close
to your 23th of MArch 2007 and the 5th of Augest 2007 images of
Wolf
spiders, but this guys Abdoman was very large...maybe just a
good eater as a
wolf spider. It's patterns were pretty similar to wolf spiders
but the size
is what really got me. I would say the abdomon was the size of a
stretched
quarter. I saw no webs just the spider's hole. It was pretty
agressive
when I pretended to be food passing by with a stick so he/she
would come out
so I could get a picture. I have some pretty up close pictures
of the big dude. I'm pretty sure it's some sort of wolf spider though.
thanks for the site,
-Brennan

I took this photo with my camera phone of a
spider web across my back door, but the
picture came out a little odd with the
perspective and all. But, I thought it was a
cool photo and that you of all people may
enjoy it. Thanks,
Jared

7 May, 2007:
From Garland, TX. I love how his markings make him
look like his fangs are VERY long. At least I hope those
are just markings....
In a perfect world, he would have hung out on one of my
newly blooming iris, but he chose this dried up mess of
old iris instead. Have to work with what they give us, I
suppose.
