Spider Letters

Another one of the writing activities for our Spider Theme was to write a letter telling someone why not to be afraid of spiders. The children wrote some very convincing letters and I often receive emails from people who are afraid of spiders and found our letters to be helpful to them.

The children were taught personal letter writing techniques  and had a choice of which style they used. You may notice there are two styles of letter, one where the first line of the first paragraph is indented to start at the end of the greeting, (the older style) and the other where a line is missed between the greeting and the first paragraph and each paragraph after that (the style used when using a computer etc).

To show the proper style I have given each letter its own page. See if you can pick which style each one uses. Click on the student's name to read their letter.
