Comments: Hi, I was surfing the net trying to find a site to identify a spider I have called "Matey" It lives on my garage door and I felt sorry for this one as
I killed its friend weeks ago. So after seeing your site I realise I have a pet Red-Back Spider and it has children growing on my garage door as well, obviously its a
femaile one but the thing that made me unsure was the unusual shape of the red stripe, it is not a straight line but rather a zig zag shape to it, but as she is getting
bigger the stripe is seeming to straighten out. I have noticed the babies are maulting and I am finding the skins stuck in the webs. My friend is very concerned about my
pet as I live alone and if it bites me then what will I do? I told him the venom takes a while to cuase problems and I would see a doctor straight away anyway, I leaned
this from your site and othersso thank you. I was wondering if you would like me to relocate my pet and its babies, as well as some eggs to you as I have no need for it
and not really that keen on keeping her but I cannot bring myself to kill her now, she has made no attempt to bite me even though her favourite spot is right near the
handle for the garage door! So please email me if you are interested in having her, and maybe watch the eggs hatch!
Thank you
Kylie

Comments: I've seen documentaries about the funnel web. Apparently they like to enter houses.
If you rise at night in Sidney, they said to investigate where you place your feet. Aso, I
heard the redback(?) migrated from Australia to Japan in cargo. I go to Japan frequently, so I
will keep a look out for them. Where I live, we have black widow spiders (like the redback). We
also have agressive house spiders called brown recluse and wolf spiders. Their bites cause
necrotizing of the flesh and sometimes death. In a recent case near Seattle, a 19-year-old man
was bitten. Because his physical condition was poor and he did not seek medical care, he lost
both legs.
Good work kids!! Keep up your curiosity.
