Your pictures and infromation has helped him find his place in the world of knowing what to be afraid of and what not. He has seen the color of things that he would have stepped on and never looked back on. He also sees a purpose to the way things look. Thanks for being there to help me explain the need for all things, and that fear is just not knowing. Rich

Comments: I just wanted to say that it's great to see people interested in education about spiders. Most people are only interested in killing them. I'm currently involved doing research on a species of funnel web spiders here in the states, and I think the page you have here is really interesting. I'm going to be studying in Australia next year, so your page has taught me a little more about your wildlife. Keep up the good work.

Comments: After moving to Western Australia from Sydney (the home of the
funnel web spider...which I very rarely saw), I have alarmingly
come across nine redbacks in the past six months. I found your
web page hoping for a solution on how to get rid of them. It
astounded me to discover that they can defeat spraying...What do
I do now then????? I thank you all for your excellent presentation.
Hopefully you can enlighten me on how I can rid of them.
(Answer: We do spray here for them quite successfully, our classroom redback was probably protected by the container she was in to some degree!!)

understanding to the world when it comes to spiders. I think that spiders are beautiful
and fascinationg, and deserve a much better reputation than they have. Cheers to the
students who at such a young age can teach us "mature" adults and such that it is
silly to be afraid of such a small, magnificent creature. You have definitely made my day,
