Comments: Congratulations on producing a really superb resource for
arachnid aficionados! ^-^ My partner, Erynn, and I have spent a lot of
time observing and photographing large (and apparently
highly-intelligent) orb-weavers around here, and based on photographs
and information included in this site, we've been able to identify
them (araneus diadematus). We're both really happy to see that there are
other people out there as fascinated as we are by these amazing
creatures!

Comments: About 8 years ago, I lived in Washington D.C., and
wandered across a spiders exhibit in the Natural Science Museum at the
Smithsonian Institute. My most vivid memory of the exhibit was the piece
on Australian spiders. Last weekend I was telling a friend of mine about
the exhibit, and wanted to find current information on the subject for
her. I found your site, and am totally in awe of you and your class. So
much work and study, and it's great to see it coming from grade schools!
I passed on the link to my friend in hopes that she will find Australian
spiders as fascinating as I do.
Brightest Blessings
Lisa

Comments: I was surfing the web trying to find
an anwer to my question. I have several daddy-long-leg spiders living in
my bathroom and it gets extremely cold in there. The question is, do
spiders get cold? How cold does it have to be before they get cold?
Is this a silly question? Anyhoo, thanks ! Loved your site.
