Comments: Definitely a good and informative site; a credit to students and teachers.
My interest is mainly in photgraphing spiders - a relatively safe occupation in Britain. We have only three stinging spiders, and none with dangerous venom. I've been bitten by our Brown Wolf and I've had worse gnat bites.
But I've been to Oz three times to see the Ants and spiders. I really enjoy your country - and its miniature wildlife!

Comments: I would have liked to found out just what parts of the United States the brown recluse is found. I did find some information, but did not find out for sure if they are located in Utah. I have puts this in my favorites list to come back too. I found it very interesting and printed a lot of the information. I was interested more in the brown recluse, as some people say I was bitten by one on the toe. I am going to have the toe amputated, but as far as I can tell it was not a brown recluse that bit me. Some of the symptoms don't match up, but some do. My main thing was to find out if any were in the Utah area. Very good information here and thanks.

Comments: I realize that students put this page together and I think you have done a wonderful job. The only suggestion that I would have would be to tell the age of the students that worked on it. I am not familiar with the term A5 used. I was looking for information to use for my college field biology class, and while the information was interesting it wasn't collegiate material, but it worked out wonderfully anyway because I am working on a trail talk that I will have to give to elementary school students about spiders. Your page saved me a lot of time. Thank you.

Comments: I have been doing spider reserch for two reasons. One day, last year I was bitten by a spider that made me sick for about a week, I got an infection in the bite it took weeks to heal. I have a scar from it. My daughter called me last week from Utah to say she had read about a spider called the Hobo spider or the agressive house spider. I think this is what bit me.
I live in California but I regularly travel to Utah and had been there about three weeks earlier.
I think I brought the spider back with me in my luggage.
When I had gone to the doctor he said he couldn't tell me what had bitten me, well my symptoms were exactly that of the hobo spider.
I have informed my doctor because they should be aware that people do travel and this spider bite doesn't usually, from what I have read, present itself as a problem, for over a day or two.
My second reason also has to do with Utah.
A lot of people there think that daddy longlegs are poisonous.
So it often becomes a topic of discussion, both sides claiming they have this or that proof.
I am wondering if there is a spider, called daddy longlegs that is poisonous while the creature most people refer to a as daddy longleg or harvestman really is not poisonous.
I would appreciate it if you could tell me where I might find out more information so I know whats really going on.
Thanks for the great web page. Caren Pinson
