Comments: I totally hate spiders, sorry. but i need to find out
what spiders are and find a diagram of them-it's for homework. i've got
to pretend that i don't know what spiders
are, or what they look like, i'm hoping that you can prevent me from
looking at anyother 'spiders' page, and provide me with the information
i need.

Comments: i was out in my back yard today cleaning up giant weed that
was taking over some bushes and i saw a few different varieties of
spiders and remembered when i was a kid and used to catch them and keep
them as pets. afterwards i decided to do
some research on the spiders and it seems that they were a wolf spider
and the regular household spider. i like your site alot and ill keep
comming back to see whats new.

Comments: I had to run and google spiders after I found one in a
Mother's Day plant my daughter gave me. This was after I sat there
screaming for my husband to come get this plant and out it outside! I am
TERRIFIED of spiders! As I was reading the pages I
kept itching and my cat sneaked up and rubbed against my leg... guess
who screamed??? Yeah I know sissy!! But thank you for the wonderful
resource you can do and I never did find the spider on my plant!

the body of a centipede and legs of a spider. I had never seen anything

Comments: my fiancee was recently bitten by a spider. his arm
swelled up to about 6 times its size; when he went to emergency, they
told him if he had waited any longer, he might have had to his arm
amputated! i was curious to find out, if possible what kind of spider it
was (he could only describe it as black with white spots). he ended up
being hospitalized for 1 week and is still on medication for the
infection! didn't realize how serious spider bites could be until
now.

Comments: Thanks for your site and the fantastic photos. I had a
very large (think Arachnophobia) in my kitchen cupboard tonight (I was
too busy screaming like a
banchee to take a good look at it or take any photos) and so while I
wait up all night holding vigil to make sure this thing doesn't venture
out before I can call
the exterminator tomorrow, I decided to see what kind of spider it is
(so I can let the exterminator know what kind of poison to use to kill
it dead dead dead).
I feel encouraged that it doesn't seem to be a poisonous kind. It looks
like a mother, monster, radio-active balck widow minus any red markings
(and the fact that htis thing had like a 3"-4" leg span). I don't see a
picture of this spider anywhere on your
site, but I wasn't really taking stock of all it's attributes. Enough
rambling... I have to say that your site has the best and most
informative photos of any site I saw tonight. Alot of other sites have
meandering descriptions from textbooks
or really poor sketches. But your site lets me get up close and
personal.
Thanks!
