Comments: My fifth-grade class is getting ready to do a full month with spiders as our theme. We will be researching spiders, reading African, Native-American, and other spider stories. We will sing spider songs, read spider poems, and do a great art/writing activity called "Invite a Spider to Lunch". We'll probably use the spider candy and cookie recipes because I always like to "cook something up" with my students that integrates with each theme. If anyone has any other ideas, we are ready to hear them!
